Welcome, to the SECGC (State Employee Charitable Giving Campaign) application process.
Please fill out the appropriate application for your organization type - Independent, Federation, or Affiliate (descriptions below). If you have previously participated in the SECGC campaign, then your SECGC number remains the same. If not, an SECGC number will be assigned to you after acceptance into the campaign. Please note: the Independent, Federation, and Affiliate applications are for campaign participation as a whole, simply making your organization a pickable option for state employees to donate to through the campaign. This does not automatically register you for the Campaign Kickoff Event in the Capitol Rotunda in Helena, which is optional. That registration is separate (with an additional $25 fee regardless of organization type), and space is limited - first come, first serve. That application link is also below. You must fill out an independent, federation, or affiliate application before you will be accepted for participation at the Rotunda event. If you have any additional questions or need assistance please email Brittany@unitedwaylca.org and put SECGC Question in subject line.
If this is the first time using the Submittable platform you will have to register your email address to submit your application.
Federation: an organization that operates with affiliated nonprofits under their organization (EarthShare, Independent Charities of America, Neighbor to Nation, Action for Eastern MT, Montana Shares, United Way, Etc.)
Affiliate: an organization that is affiliated with a federation (in a partnership with federation within the campaign)
Independent: an organization with no partner affiliations filing solely on its own as its own entity
Date / Time: Monday, September 24th, 10 AM to 2 PM, set up between 9:00 and 10:00 AM.
You may drop off your table and materials for your display inside the South entrance to the Capitol building, on Lockey Avenue, park your car, and then return. Please keep your display up until the event closes 2:00, please clean your area thoroughly so the Capitol folks invite us back next year.
Accepting direct donations at the event, or soliciting donations directly at the event is not allowed. Please promote your nonprofit by providing materials about what services you provide. Also feel free to provide additional treats and giveaways. This is a great way to attract state employees to come visit your table and learn more about what your nonprofit does.
Table and Space: Tables are not provided. You are allocated a space the size of one card table (3-4 feet wide). Please bring your own card table. Capitol personnel are providing each of you with one folding chair. Spaces are assigned. A piece of paper on the chair with your nonprofit name will hold your space.
Because of the beautiful restoration work several years ago, we are not allowed to hang anything on the wall behind our tables. If you have a standing display, it must either be on your card table or on the floor, but remember your space is limited to what is between your table and the wall. No tape (or anything) may be applied to the walls. Also, no electricity is available. There are a very limited number of outlets and we can't guarantee you a spot with access to an outlet, so please don't plan on it.. No helium balloons and no animals.
Food and Drinks: Starbucks coffee will be provided after 10:00am, and pizza will be provided for lunch. Both items are free to all state employees and you, of course.
Please visit with our guests throughout the event. You may leave your table unattended.
Thank you again for participating in the SECGC Kickoff Event; this great opportunity to raise awareness about your organization.
Information about kick-offs in other towns will be released shortly.
